In the 20+ years Biznus Payroll has been trading, UK payroll has changed almost beyond recognition, with some of the biggest changes happening post-2012 starting with the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI) and Automatic Enrolment (AE) for Workplace Pensions for the largest employers, with small employers needing to comply in the years following. These changes were not possible without the advancement of technology, even so, this has still put a strain on payroll departments far and wide due to the growing demands placed on the payroll function to manage the increasing compliance requirements and to avoid common payroll pitfalls and errors that can incur penalties and fines not only from His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) but other regulatory bodies too e.g. The Pension Regulator (TPR), Low Pay Commission (LPC), Department of Work Pensions (DWP), Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
As a payroll service provider and as individuals, we are passionate about payroll and committed to our continued professional development (CPD) to keep on top of legislative changes (of which there are many every year) so that our clients don’t have to. As well as develop the next generation of payroll professionals through our apprenticeship opportunities. Our team’s payroll experience and qualifications are recognised by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), with all staff gaining full or associate individual CIPP membership.
We keep an eye on the software marketplace for developments and features to offer businesses a solution that is a good fit for their needs whether for a flexible workforce or a salaried workforce we aim to have a solution for most small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
